Snipora / Privacy policy

A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY.

Privacy policy

Your copied content deserves a clear explanation of where it goes, how it’s handled, and what you control.

Applies to Snipora for iOS, Android, and macOS, and this website.
01

About this policy

Snipora is a local-first clipboard and snippet manager from Lasya AI Tech. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the iOS, Android, and macOS apps, keyboard extensions, optional cloud sync or backup, import/export tools, this website, and related support services (the “Services”).

Your saved content primarily stays on your device unless you choose an optional cloud or sharing feature. This policy explains both that local-first approach and the separate processing involved in mobile advertising, purchases, technical diagnostics, and support.

For privacy questions or requests, contact Snipora or email siddhu@lasyaaitech.com.

02

Information we process

Content you choose to save. This can include copied text, links, images, files, pinned items, snippet titles and contents, vaults or folders, labels, timestamps, and related metadata. It is normally stored locally unless you enable optional sync or backup, export it, or send it to another app.

Information you provide directly. Support messages, feedback, bug reports, survey responses if offered, and attachments may include an email address, device details, and anything you choose to tell us. We use that information to assist you. Do not include passwords, encryption keys, payment card numbers, or private clips in a support request.

Technical information. When diagnostics are enabled, supplied in a support report, or processed by an enabled SDK, information may include the device model, OS and app versions, crash logs, performance information, language, region, and feature interactions. The mobile advertising SDK’s processing is explained separately below. Saved snippet content is not intentionally used as analytics data unless clearly disclosed.

Purchase and authentication information. Apple processes purchases; Snipora uses product, entitlement, and restore status to provide premium access. Apple does not give us your payment card details. Biometric or device authentication is handled by the operating system. We do not receive or store your fingerprint or Face ID template; the app may retain lock preferences and related timestamps.

03

How and why information is used

Information is used to operate Snipora, save and organize content, provide search and keyboard insertion, perform import/export, sync or restore backups, manage purchases and entitlements, respond to support, improve performance, investigate faults, protect the Services, and meet legal obligations.

Where applicable, the basis for processing may be your consent, providing a service you request, legitimate interests in reliability and security, or a legal requirement. Optional permissions and consent choices can be changed through the relevant app, device, or service controls.

04

Local-first storage and security

The primary snippet database is on your device. Clip content payloads use AES-256-GCM encryption, with keys held through the platform’s secure storage. Snipora does not operate a central server holding your clipboard history, and core saving, organization, and search can work offline without a Snipora account.

Encryption of clip payloads does not mean every metadata field or convenience surface has the same protection. Local keyboard and widget caches, system search previews, and user-created exports may contain readable text. Protect your device and treat exports as private documents.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures for the information we handle, including appropriate access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. Local data can be affected by device loss, loss of an encryption key, app removal, system behavior, or manual deletion. Use the available device protections and backups for information you want to preserve.

05

Clipboard, keyboards and permissions

On Mac, clipboard history reads newly copied supported content when enabled. You can pause or disable automatic capture. The watcher skips content marked concealed or transient by supported apps and skips OTP-style codes when that setting is off. These filters cannot recognize every sensitive item.

iOS restricts background clipboard access. Saving uses supported foreground, share, and manual workflows; Snipora does not continuously monitor every app’s clipboard. Android access depends on the OS version, foreground app, and active input method.

The mobile keyboard accesses a local cache of saved snippet titles, text, and metadata needed for insertion. It does not intentionally collect what you type in other apps. When you insert, copy, or share a clip into a destination app, that app receives the content and its own privacy practices apply.

Optional permissions include biometric or device authentication, user-selected files or photos for import, and Mac Accessibility for direct paste. Mac direct paste sends a paste keystroke to the app you selected; copy-only mode works without that permission. You can review or revoke permissions in system settings.

06

Cloud features, import and export

If you enable iCloud sync on iOS, selected data is stored or synchronized through Apple’s infrastructure. Google Drive backup on supported mobile platforms uses your selected Google account and Snipora’s app-data permission. These operations can process backup files, content and metadata, synchronization status, timestamps, and restore information. Apple and Google control their infrastructure and apply their own policies.

Clip content payloads are encrypted by Snipora, while metadata may be readable. Optional cloud services process the information necessary to provide the feature. You can turn them off or disconnect them in the app where supported. Disabling a feature or uninstalling Snipora does not necessarily delete existing cloud copies; remove them using the provider’s controls.

Import/export processes the archive or files you select and may contain readable text and metadata. Store and share exported files carefully. Automatic Mac-to-phone sync is not currently available; export/import provides manual transfer.

Read Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

07

Mobile advertising and diagnostics

Current iOS and Android releases include Google AdMob advertising. Mac does not include ads. The advertising SDK may collect or process IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, diagnostic information, and approximate location derived from network information to provide, measure, secure, and improve advertising. Processing and personalization depend on device settings, region, permissions, and consent.

Snipora does not pass saved snippet content to AdMob as an ad request parameter. Advertising is separate from the local vault; local encryption does not prevent the advertising SDK’s own processing.

Where required, Google’s consent flow appears before ads can be requested. Where available, use Settings → Ad privacy choices to reopen it. Device advertising and tracking controls also apply.

If additional analytics or diagnostics features are enabled, limited feature-use, crash, or performance data may be processed to improve reliability. We do not intentionally collect snippet content for analytics unless that use is clearly disclosed.

See Google’s advertising information and AdMob’s data disclosure documentation.

08

Sharing and third-party services

Snipora does not sell your personal data. Limited information may be processed by service providers needed for enabled features, such as cloud storage, advertising, diagnostics or crash reporting, and customer support. Platform providers such as Apple or Google receive information required for purchases, authentication, or cloud services. The actual services enabled in the app determine which processing occurs.

Information we hold may also be disclosed when required by law, in response to a valid legal request, to protect rights or user safety, or as part of a business transition such as a merger or acquisition, subject to applicable law. This does not give us access to a local vault we do not hold.

Third-party services and destination apps operate independently under their own privacy policies.

09

Purchases, support and this website

Apple handles Mac Pro payment processing. Snipora uses purchase and restoration status to unlock or restore features, without receiving full payment card details. The app may also recognize compatible prior Apple purchases where supported.

We use support correspondence to answer requests, troubleshoot, and maintain reliability. The website’s support request builder prepares text locally. Preparing, copying, or saving a request does not submit it to a backend. An email link opens your email app; you decide whether to send it.

This website has no third-party advertising, analytics scripts, marketing cookies, or newsletter registration. Fonts and product images are served as local website assets. The hosting provider may process normal request data, such as IP address, browser information, URL, and access time, to serve and secure the site.

The clipboard demo only writes a selected illustrative sample after you press the copy button; it does not read your existing clipboard. External links lead to services with their own policies.

10

Retention and deletion

Information is retained only as needed to provide services, maintain functionality, answer support, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Local clips remain until you delete them or erase app data, subject to device and backup behavior.

You can delete individual clips or use the app’s data-management controls. Cloud copies, device backups, system indexes, keyboard caches, and exports may need separate removal. Cloud retention depends on your settings and the provider’s policies. Anonymized or aggregated information may be retained longer where permitted by law.

We cannot remotely inspect or erase your local vault. See privacy and data choices for practical steps.

11

Your rights and choices

You can manage saved content, disable optional cloud features, pause Mac history, change available ad choices, revoke device permissions, or stop using and uninstall the app. Deleting an app does not necessarily remove previously exported or cloud-backed copies.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Rights can be subject to legal limits. Withdrawal does not undo lawful processing that already occurred.

For information you sent directly to support, email siddhu@lasyaaitech.com and describe your request. Identify the email used for prior correspondence; do not send your vault or encryption key. Information held independently by Apple, Google, or another provider should be managed through that provider’s controls.

12

Children’s privacy

Snipora is not intended for children unless explicitly stated otherwise for a release. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information in violation of applicable law. If we learn that such information has been provided to us, we will take appropriate steps to address it and remove it where required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through support or the Services, contact us at siddhu@lasyaaitech.com.

13

International data transfers

If you use optional services or contact support from another country, information may be processed in regions where the relevant providers operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable law. Apple, Google, hosting, and other enabled providers describe their international processing in their own privacy information.

Your local-only vault does not become a Snipora-hosted cloud account merely because you use the app in another country.

14

Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes to features, service providers, legal requirements, or security practices. The last-updated date identifies this version. Updates will be made available through the website or app as appropriate; additional notices or consent will be provided where required.
